Helen Keller was born in America. As a little girl, she lost her sight and hearing. At the age of seven, she began learning finger language and Braille with the help of her teacher Annie Sullivan. Later, she learned speaking and listening through her hands. She devoted all her life to helping the deaf and the blind. She travelled around the world and wrote a number of books, such as Helen Keller's diary, The Story of My Life, The Open Gate. Her famous writing If I Were Not Blind For Three Days has inspired many people to face difficulties in their lives.
