                       第三课时    
一、教学内容
《四年级英语下册》 Unit 7  What’s the matter?  (Cartoon time)
二、教学目标:
(一)认知目标:
1.能熟练听懂、会读、会说、会写单词happy
2.能熟练听懂、会读、会说单词Mrs, speak
3. 能听懂、会读、会说句子Are you all right?  He’s happy now.
4. 初步理解电话用语This is…speaking.
(二)技能目标:
1. 初步掌握电话用语
2. 能有感情地表演故事
(三)情感目标:
引导学生学会主动关心他人,并能给他人提供有用的帮助。
三、教学重点、难点:
1. 能听懂、会读、会说句子Are you all right?  He’s happy now.
2. 初步掌握电话用语
3. 能有感情地表演故事
四、教具准备:
卡片,PPT
五、教学过程:
 Step 1 Greeting and revision
1. Greeting
T: Hello, boys and girls.
S: Hello, Miss Ji.
2. Revision
T: First, let’s read the words together.
T: Good. Can you recite?
Ss spell the words one by one.
T: How to care about others? How to ask?
S1: What’s the matter?
S2: Are you…?
S3: What’s wrong?

T: Good. If you want to help others, what can you say?
S1: Come and have…
S2: You can…
S3: Here’s…for you.

Step 2 Presentation
T: Look, this is our friend Bobby. Is he happy?
S: No.
T: I think so. Bobby needs help. What’s the matter? Watch a cartoon and find the answer.
Ss watch the cartoon.
T: Have you got it? What’s the matter?
S1: He’s hungry.
T: Is he happy at last? Why? Please talk about it in groups.
Four students a group, and talk about it.
T: Is Bobby happy at last?
Ss: Yes.
T: Why?
S1: (His Mum takes a cake for Bobby.)
S2:…
T: Bobby is at school. His Mum is at home. How does Mum know that?
Ss: Mrs. Fox打电话告诉他的妈妈的。
T: Yes. Mrs. Fox calls Bobby’s Mum. How to make a telephone call? Find the sentences in the story, please.
S1: Hello, Mrs. Mouse. This is Mrs. Fox speaking.
Teach the sentence: This is…speaking.
T: Look at P1 and P2 carefully. Try to guess, what do they say on the phone? Talk about it in pairs. And then try to act it out.
Pair work.
Step 3 Consolidation
1. Read after the tape注意语音语调
2. Read by yourself
3. Read together
4. Show time
5. If you’re hungry at school, what will you do?
Ss answer the question.
Step 4 Exercise
完成英补U7练习
Step 5 Homework
1. 读、背、演Cartoon time
2. 完成英补剩余部分。

2.能熟练地听懂、会说、会读的三会句型句型
3.能总结归纳o的发音/əu/

五、教学过程:
Step 1 Greeting and free talk
1. Greeting
T: Hello, boys and girls.
S: Hello, Miss Ji.
2. Free talk
Q: What day is it today?
   What’s the weather like today?
   Are you…?
Step 2 Revision
T: Boys and girls, do you still remember the story? Let’s act out the story. Mrs. Fox and Mrs. Mouse, don’t forget your telephone call.
Four students a group.
Step 3 Presentation
1. Rhyme time
T: Look at the boy, his name is Bill. Read after me, Bill.
Ss: Bill.
T: What’s the matter with Bill?
Ss: He’s ill.
T: So what would you like to say to Bill?
S1: Have some water, Bill.
S2: Go to bed, Bill.
S3: …

T: Good, if he is ill, he can take this pill. Follow me, take this pill.
Read the rhyme.
2. Sound time
T: Can you read this rhyme? Good. This boy is Joe, and the girl is Rose. Pay attention to all the “o”, how to pronounce?
Ss: /əu/
T: Yes. Read them together. Can you find any other words?
Ss say out some words.
T: Can you read these words?
Good. Find the right house, please.
Check out the answer.
