【教学内容】
6A U8 Chinese New Year (Sound time& Culture time & Cartoon time)
【教学目标】
1. 能理解并体会字母oo组合在单词中的发音
2. 能理解culture time中的内容并适当拓展。
3. 能理解和熟读cartoon time 中的内容并能在教师的指导下尝试表演。
4. 能够用将来时态表达未发生的事情 “be going to do ...
【教学重、难点】
1. 能理解culture time的内容并适当拓展。
2. 能在前两课基础上正确并熟练地表达将来时。


【教学过程】
Step 1. Preparation
Bring up the topic
T: First, let’s watch a movie. What holiday is it?
S: Chinese New Year
T: Now, let’s talk about our Chinese New Year. Here are some key words, I’ll ask you some questions.
Step 2. Presentation and practice
1. Culture time
Chinese New Year
T: We know Chinese New Year is the most important holiday in China.
T: Who can read this word? What does important mean?
T: And we also call it? Choose A or B?
Read it together.
Christmas
T:What is the most important holiday in the UK?
S: Christmas
T: Do you know Christmas? I’ll show you something about Christmas. Listen carefully and answer my questions.
Thanksgiving
T: Guess, What holiday is it?
S: It’s Thanksgiving.
T: Let’s enjoy something about Thanksgiving.
2. Sound time
Listen and answer
T: Look at the picture. Who is the man? What is the man doing?
Let’s try to read the chant.
What does “oo” pronunce here?
Read the words in the chant.
Read some new words and fill in the blanks.
3. Cartoon time
Look at the picture and find the answer.
Read by yourselves and put the pictures in right order.
Watch the cartoon and underline.
Retell the story.
Act out
Step 3. Production
T: Look at the picture. Bobby and Tina are going to see their aunt Alice and watch fireworks. What else are they going to do tomorrow?
This is Bobby’s plan for tomorrow. What about Bobby’s friend Billy? Let’s see. How do you think of Billy’s plan for tomorrow. Chinese New Year is coming, can you make a plan for Bobby? Discuss in groups and writing down.
Step 4. Homework
1. Use Simple future tense to make a dialogue, talk about your plan for this weekend.
2. Read books or surf the Internet, try to know more about Chinese traditional festivals.
