   “be+adj+介词”的考查已成为高考设题的一个热点,使用频率高,表达效果好。现将高中教材中所出现的系列结构进行扩展与汇总,对大家的学习有所帮助。
  
  一.be+adj+介词的基本用法
  
  1.be curious about … “对….好奇”
  I’m curious about this book she’s supposed to be writing.我对据说她在写的那本书感到好奇。
  They were very curious about the people who lived upstairs.他们对住在楼上的那些人很好奇。
  2. be content with ….“对….满意的”
  She is content with her job at the moment.她目前对自己的工作非常满意。
  We can’t be content with success already gained.我们决不能满足于已取得的成绩。
  3. be confused about …. “对….困惑的;糊涂的”
  If you’re confused about anything, please phone my office.如果你有什么困惑,请给我办公室打电话。
  People are confused about all the different labels on food these days.近来大家对食物上不同的标签感到困惑。
  4. be confident about/of…“自信的;有信心的”
  Joy is very confident about using computers.对使用电脑Joy非常自信。
  The teacher wants the children to feel confident about asking questions when they don’t understand.老师想要孩子们很自信地问些问题即使他们不理解。
  He is confident of victory in the competition.他在比赛中对胜利充满信心。
  5. be crowded with….“挤满的;拥挤的”
  It was two weeks before Christmas and the mall was crowded with shoppers.离圣诞节还有两个星期,商场里挤满了购物者。
  In the spring the place is crowded with skiers.到了春天这个地方到处都是滑冰的人。
  6. be meant for…..“为….而准备的”
  These chairs are meant for guests.这些椅子是为客人们而准备的。
  7. be armed with….“装备(足够的知识、技术等)的;具有….的;带有….的”
  The suspect is armed with a shortgun. 嫌疑犯身上带有枪。
  She came to the meeting armed with all the facts and figures to prove us wrong.她带着能证明我们错了的所有事实和数据来参加会议。
  8. be intended for….“专为….而设计的;专供…使用的”
  The book intended for young children came out in March.专供幼儿阅读的书在三月份出版了。
  9. be disappointed with/about/at…..“对….失望的”
  Nacy is really disappointed about not being able to go travelling.南希对自己去不了着实感到失望。
  I have to say we’re disappointed with your work.我不得不说你们的工作让我们很失望。
  10. be equal to….“胜任的;能应付的”
  John proved to be quite equal to the job of running the office, thus winning his boss’ trust and getting promoted afterwards.约翰证明了自己对管理办公室是能胜任的,随后就赢得了老板的信任得到了提升。
  I’m sure Bob’s quite equal to the task.我确信Bob有能力承担这项任务。
  11. be responsible for….“(对事故、错误、罪行等)负有责任的;应承担责任的”
  When he loses his temper, he isn’t responsible for his actions.他发脾气时不顾自己行为的后果。
  You should be responsible for anything that goes wrong.你应该对出错的事负责任。
  12.be conscious of….“注意到的;意识到的”
  I was very conscious of the facts that I had to make a good impression.我非常明白必须给人一个好印象。
  She’s very conscious of the problems related to research.她注意到了与研究有关的一些问题。
  13. be convinced of…..“相信….”
  We are all convinced of his innocence.我们相信他是无辜的。
  14. be crazy about….“对….着迷”
  Frank is just carzy about football. 弗兰克对足球着迷。
  Many foreigners are crazy about Chinese food.许多外国人对中国菜特别喜欢。
  15. be engaged in/to…..“忙于做…./与某人订婚”
  They are engaged in talks with the Irish government.他们忙于和爱尔兰政府谈判。
  Have you met the man she’s engaged to?你见到她的未婚夫吗?
  16. be fascinated by…..“被迷住的;吸引住的”
  I was.fascinated by her wonderful songs.我被她美妙的歌声给迷住了。
  I was fascinated by his good ideas.我被他的好想法给吸引了。
  17.be friendly with/to….“与….要好”
  Betty’s very friendly with the Jacks. 贝蒂与杰克一家非常要好。
  The local people are always friendly to visitors.当地人总是对游客很友好。
18. be native to….“当地的”
  This kind of plant is native to that region.这种植物是那个地区特有的。
  19.be patient with…..“有耐心的;有毅力的”
  Rose was very patient with me when I was illl and crabby.在我生病而且脾气乖戾的日子里,罗斯对我很有耐心。
  I’m always patient with my daughter when she asks some questions sounding very funny.即使女儿问些滑稽的问题时我也一直对她很有耐心。
  20. be popular with….“受….的欢迎”
  The naughty students are not popular with teachers.调皮的学生不受老师的欢迎。
  I’m not very popular with my parents at the moment. 我现在不称父母的心。
  21. be employed in…..“花时间做…../忙于做….”
  Her days are employed in gardening and voluntary work.她的日子全花在搞园艺和做义工上。
  22. be hopeful about…..“对….抱有希望的/持有乐观态度的”
  Everyone in this company is feeling pretty hopeful about the future.公司里的每个人对未来充满希望。
  He is not very hopeful about the outcome of the interview.他对面试的结果没抱有希望。
  23. be positive about….“对….确信的;肯定的;有把握的”
  It was definitely his fault—James was positive about that.一定是他的错,James对那点很有把握。
  I can’t be positive about what time the accident happened.我对事故发生的时间不能肯定。
  24. be related to….“与….有关系的”
  The heart attack could be related to his car crash last year.心脏病发作可能与他去年的车祸有关。
  25. be (un)satisfied with…..“对…..(不)满意的”
  I’m not really satisfied with the way he cut my hair.我对他那样给我理发不太满意。
  She’s never satisfied with what she’s got. 对得到的东西她从不满意。
  26. be serious about….“对…认真的”
  I stopped laughing when I realized Jen was serious about it.当我意识到Jen并非开玩笑时,我就不再笑了。
  Are you really serious about her then?那你对她是真心实意的吗?
  27. be short of….“短缺的;不足的”
  I’m a little short of money at the moment.目前我有些缺钱。

  He’s very active in local politics.他积极地参加当地的政治活动。

  32. be anxious about….“焦虑的;不安的;担心的”
  Helen is anxious about travelling on her own.海伦对自己一个人出远门旅行感到担心。
  33. be aware of…..“明白…;意识到….;知道”
  Most smokers are perfectly aware of the dangers of smoking. 大多数吸烟者完全知道吸烟的危害。

  34. be busy with…..“忙于….”

  38. be ignorant of/about…..“对….无知的;愚昧的;没有学问的”

  41. be separate from….“与….分开的;隔离的”
  Kept the meat separate from the other food.把肉和其他食物分开存放。

  42.be mad with/at….“对….生气”
  Don’t be mad at me, I’m just telling you what she said.别对我发火,我只是在告诉你她所说的话。
  43. be sure of/about…..“对….确信的;有把握的”
  You need to be sure of your facts before making any accusations.你在提出任何指控之前必须对自己所掌握的事实有把握才行。

  44. be tough on….“严格对待”

  49. be attached to……“喜欢;依恋”
  In general, the children were attached to their parents when they were young. 一般来说,孩子们在小的时候非常依恋父母。
  50. be associated with….“与…有联系”
  Smoking is usually associated with lung cancer. 肺癌通常与吸烟有关联。
  51.be faced with….“面临;面对”

  52. be dressed in….“穿着….”

  54. be involved in…..“参与…..;牵涉进…..;卷入…”
  I don’t want to be involved in some lengthy argument about who is to blame.我不想卷入谁该承担责任的冗长的争论。
  I’m afraid you son’ been involved in the traffic accident.恐怕你儿子牵涉到一场交通事故。
  More than 30 software firms were involved in the project.30多家软件公司参与了这个项目。
  55. be skeptical of/ about….“对….不相信的;持有怀疑态度的”
  Many scientists are skeptical about the value o fthis research program.许多科学家对这个研究方案的价值持有怀疑态度。
  I am skeptical of his chance of winning.我不相信他有赢的可能性。
  56. be full of….“充满”
  Life is full of coincidences. 人生充满着巧合。
  He’s full of guilt about the death of his daughter.他对女儿的死深感内疚。
  57. be diffierent from/to……“不同的;不一样的”
  Our two sons are very different form each other.我们的两个儿子有点儿不一样。
58.be occupied with….“忙于….”
  Helen was fully occupied with business matters, so we didn’t want to bother her. 海伦全身心地忙于公务,所以我们不想打扰她。
  在“be+adj+介词”结构中,可将be省掉,使用 “adj+介词”形式作后置定语,宾语补足语,主语补足语或状语。
  59. We walked in to find the kitchen full of smoke.我们走进去发现厨房里满是烟。(作宾语补足语)
  60.The suspect involved in the big coal accident has been arrested.与这大的煤矿事故有关的嫌疑人已经被逮捕了。(作后置定语)
  61.That picture was found similar to this picture.人们发现那幅画与这幅花很像。(作主语补足语)
  62. Lost in the beauty of the scenery, I decided to stay for a week in the village.被这美丽的景色个迷住了,我决定在村子里呆一个星期。(作状语)
