The changes of the arrangement of the Chinese lawful holidays
As we all know, recently our country has changed the arrangement of the lawful holidays. Now, I’d like to introduce something about the changes to you. First, the number of the holidays of May Day reduces① from three days to one day. Second, three traditional festivals become new holidays. They are Qing Ming Festival, the Dragon Boat Festival and the Mid-Autumn Festival. According to the new arrangement, people can have a holiday on each of ∧ ② three festivals. However, the numbers of holidays of some festivals are remained③ the same. People can have a holiday on New Year’s Day and three holidays to celebrate the Spring Festival, which begins④ from New Year’s Eve instead of the Spring Festival. We can still have three holidays for National Day.
The changes of the arrangement of the lawful holidays help to develop our economy. Besides, it helps to strengthen the sense of our national proud⑤. What’s more, it helps to promote and pass on the Chinese traditional culture.
