写作指导：
这是一篇单位介绍文，通常单位介绍文写作时应注意下列几点：
1.正确把握时态
介绍单位历史应用一般过去时，介绍单位现状应用一般现在时，介绍单位发展前景应用一般将来时。本文比较特殊，因国家体育馆“鸟巢”尚在建设之中，因此大多数句子应用一般将来时表达。
2.熟悉常见句型
表示单位地点和面积可用Located in..., ...covers an area of...或Located in..., ... has a size of...；表达单位人口可用The population of... is...或... has a population of...；表达单位历史可用... has a history of... years；表达单位交通状况可用It is very convenient to get to... You can get to... by bus/by train...；介绍单位风景可用...is a beautiful place. Trees andflowers

Dear John,
You want to know some informations① about our National Stadium—the Bird’s Nest. Now, I’d like to introduce something about it for② you.
Located in the northern part of Beijing, the Bird’s Nest will cover an area of 58,000 square meters and can hold up to 90,000 spectators. It began to be built in December, 2003 and will be completed at the end of 2007.

该篇习作恰当地运用了过渡词汇，使得全文衔接自然，并且运用了一些较复杂的句式，使得文章档次提高不少。但是仍有少数需要修改的地方，如下：①information为不可数名词，无复数形式，informations应改为infor?鄄
mation。②introduce sth to sb为固定搭配，因此for应改为to。③此处作定语不作谓语，应去掉is，或在is前加上which。④该句为时间状语从句，应用一般现在时代替一般将来时，will be应改为is。⑤one of后面应接复数名词，building应改为buildings。
