　　上述用法在现代英语中已不仅仅限于表示位移的动词，实际上凡是动词所表示的动作是人们所能计划或安排的，几乎都可用现在进行时来表示，这在日常英语中屡见不鲜。

　　Li Lei is sending some Monkey King stamps to my American friend.
　　李雷要给我的美国朋友寄一些“猴王”邮票。
　　I am changing my hotel. 我快换旅馆了。
　　 （2）现在进行时与always连用可表示说话人的情感，可用来表示讨厌、不满，带有埋怨情绪；或表示赞许、高兴；或带夸奖口吻，称赞对方的一贯表现。
　　The baby is always crying this morning. 这婴儿今天上午总是哭。
　　He is always complaining about things. 他老是发牢骚。
　　Kate is always helping the others.凯特总是乐意帮助别人。
　　You are always doing well. 你总是干得很好。
　　（3）表示感觉、存在、从属、思维之类的动词通常不能用现在进行时。如：see, hear, smell, hate, like, be, have, own, know, forget等。但hope, find, want, wonder等动词的进行时态，可表示一种婉转的语气，如果是过去进行时形式则更显得客气、委婉。
　　We are hoping you will get well soon. 我们希望你很快康复。
　　We are wondering if you have any suggestions. 我们不知道你是否有一些建议。

　　过去进行时表示过去某一时刻正在进行的动作，常和表示过去的时间状语连用，如：this time yesterday, at that time, then, last night, at 9:00 yesterday, all night等。
　　What were you doing this time yesterday?昨天这个时候你在做什么？
　　过去进行时与一般过去时的区别是：过去进行时表示在过去某一段时间正在进行的动作，而一般过去时表示一个完成的动作。试比较：
　　I was typing letters last night. 我昨晚在打信。（可能没打完）
　　I typed some letters last night. 我昨晚打了一些信。（已经打完）
