英语习惯用语：Bell the Cat
此典故出自《伊索寓言》，直译为“猫身上挂铃”，其真正含意为“愿替别人冒险”或“做危险之事”。例如：This is a dangerous mission，who would go to bell the cat?这是件很危险的工作，谁愿意去做呢?
原来《伊索寓言》中的这个故事是这样描述的：有几只老鼠被屋里的大猫抓住吃掉了。有只老鼠就说：“只要我们在大猫的脖子上挂个铃铛，不管大猫走到哪里我们都可以听到铃声。我们就可以躲开大猫。”大家都说这个主意很好，可是“谁去把铃挂在猫的脖子上呢?”即“Who’s gonna bell the cat?”这成语就这样产生了。
为了加深对英语成语的记忆，你不妨用英语编个故事，例如：A family of mice could get no food because of their fear of a cat. The mice decided that the best thing to do would be to tie a bell around the cat’s neck．That would tell them where the cat was．They all agreed that it was a good idea，until one mouse asked，"Who will go and bell the cat?"这时所有的老鼠都傻了眼。
