Hi,ZhangPeng!
I hope is going well.
What’s your plan for the coming summer holiday? Some of my classmates would like to go cycling. Will you come with us?
We are planning to ride to the mountains around our town. We hope to get away from our school life and get near to the nature and smell the fresh air. We hope in that way we can relax ourselves thoroughly.
We’ll start at 8∶10 next Sunday morning. If you can come, please let me know and we’ll wait for you at 7∶50 in front of our school.
What’s more, get everything ready for the outing, such as your sunglasses, hat, food and drinks. We hope to have a picnic in the mountains.
Hope to see you soon.
Yours,
Ma Lin
值得欣赏的是,这封邮件还运用了一些非常好的短语,例如:some of,get away,in that way,in front of,what’s more,get everything ready for,such as.
当然,如果在结尾加上“Be sure to come and have a wonderful time.”
1. 在餐桌上要尽量放松;
2. 当你不知道怎样使用餐具时,可以看看别人,跟着他们做,也可以礼貌地向旁边的人询问;
3. 在中国进餐时,你不应该端起你的饭碗;
Dear Mike,
Glad to receive your message.
If you are invited to dinner in china, try to be free at the dinner table. If you don’t know how to use chopsticks, just watch other persons, and follow them. If you still have no idea about what to do, don’t be shy about asking the persons next to you. It’s better to ask than to be quietly uncomfortable and nervous.
In china, you are not supposed to pick up your bowl. If you like the food, say so. You can thank the host and hostess for the meal and for their kindness.
Yours,
Li Ming■
