After choosing the program and at least two institutions that offer that program, students have to obtain a preliminary admission application form from the Cultural Service of the French embassy.

學生選擇出了意修讀的課程後，應查閱至少兩所提供有關課程大學的資料，將兩 所大學列為首、次選擇，申讀入讀。跟著，學生須前往法國領事館的文化部索取一張 入學申請表格。

Since the academic year runs from September to June in nearly all of France's institutions of higher education, therefore students should obtain the application form between November 15 and January 15 for the programs beginning in the coming September.

絕大部份法國大專院校的學年都是由每年九月至來年的六月，所以申請表的派發 時間通常都是介乎每年的十一月十五日至翌年的一月十五日。

Completed application form should be returned to the Cultural Service of the French embassy by February 1.

填好的申請表必須於申請入讀學年的二月一日之前送交法國領事館文化部。

Usually, students will be asked to take a language proficiency test after February 15 if French is not their mother language. The results of the French proficiency test as well as the preliminary applications will be sent to their first choice of university between March 1 and March 15. In May, students will be informed of their application result from the " first" university. If they are rejected, their applications will be sent to their second choice of university.

基於法文不是大部份海外申請人的母語，所以他們需要通過一個語文測試，成績 合格後其申請才會被考慮，語文測試通常在二月中旬舉行。在三月初，所有申請表連 同語文測試成績將會被送往各第一選擇的大學。申請人會於五月期間接到其申請結 果；如不幸落敗，其申請表將會被送往第二選擇的大學。

In June, the "second" university will have also made its decision. If students are accepted, they will receive a letter of admission. If neither university offers an admission but the result of the French proficiency test is good enough, students may ask the French ministry of national education to reconsider their cases. However, such request for reconsideration must be filed by July 10. Students will receive a response to their request for reconsideration by September 15.

第二輪的大學招生結果會在六月中公佈，如申請被接納，申請人會收到所屬大學 的入學通知書。如申請人不獲任何大學的接納但其語文測試成績良好，申請人可考慮 向法國國家教育部要求重新評核，但是這類申請不得遲於七月十日提出。無論結果如 何，申請人會於九月十五日前接獲通知。
